Current Project

Our BCA Community has an awesome opportunity to serve and bless those around us! This spring we are partnering with the Stitching Sisters from First Baptist of Elyria. This group creates fidget blankets that are used for children with Autism and adults struggling with the effects of Alzheimer's. These blankets are embellished with items that can help patients calm down or focus. Each embellishment has a specific purpose or skill target.

The following is the list of needs and the grade we are asking to bring those items in. We will also collect monetary donations for the ministry to purchase material or any other needed supplies. All items can be purchased at the dollar store! Some grades have multiple options. Please don’t feel the need to buy everything!

Members from the ministry will help us with chapel on March 24 to explain the blankets in more detail and bring examples. We will be collecting items through April 6.

PreK 3 and 4 - Small stuffed animals (dogs and bears if possible)
Kindergarten A and B - Fidget toys or small slinkys

Most Recent Project

This past Christmas, BCA families collects food as part of a "Reverse Advent Food Drive." We collected full meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, & desserts to provide a day's worth of food for families. We then delivered one van load of food to the Hunger Center at Parma Lutheran Church and another to the food pantry at Parma Christian Church. We were blown away by the generosity of our BCA family and we able to bless many families in need!
