Every Friday is chapel day! Preschool through 4th graders spend about 45 minutes every Friday morning doing praise and worship, activities, and listening to a message from one of many great speakers. Mrs. Kazimir and Mrs. Saggio lead worship for elementary chapel. They use videos and Powerpoints along with actions to engage even the youngest students. Local pastors and missionaries sometimes share a message. Teachers and individual classes also take turns speaking to the students about the gospel. Each week, students who have been caught doing something above the norm are recognized. Mr. Burnett presents them with a "Hero Award" from their teacher.
There is a separate chapel for 5th through 8th grade students on Friday afternoons. This provides an opportunity for the older students to worship their own way and hear speakers more focused on their needs. Local pastors and missionaries, along with Mr. Burnett, the middle school teachers, and an occasional student present a message that is tailored to the needs of the older students. Students are recognized with "Hero Awards" as well as for standing out amonst their peers in a positive way.
