Academic Excellence from a Biblical Perspective.

In a huge step toward universal school choice, the Ohio General Assembly recently passed a state budget that dramatically increases those eligible for the scholarship and increases the amount! Check out the chart below! Those who do not qualify for the full scholarship can still receive a partial award! Unfortunately, those living in Cleveland are still not eligible for EdChoice.

If you have questions about the program or whether you qualify, you can find more information below or contact our Superintendent, Pastor Jeremy Burnett (jburnett@bcakids.org).

EdChoice Expansion Scholarship
The EdChoice Expansion Scholarship Program provides scholarships for all students beginning in Kindergarten. The scholarship is based on one thing, your income. If you are below 450% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), you qualify for $6,165. That means that you get all of your tuition paid for elementary students and nearly all your tuition paid for middle school students. There is a sliding scale (see above), but everyone who applies receives at least $650 per students that goes toward tuition! The EdChoice Expansion application window is now open. All students, new and currently enrolled, can apply for the EdChoice Expansion Scholarship, but must complete enrollment before submitting the application. Click here for the Expansion EdChoice Fact Sheet for more information.
Here is how it works:

RENEWAL APPLICANTS (Only those who DID receive the scholarship in 2022-23)

STEP 2 - You do not need to submit Income Verification to renew UNLESS you would like to be considered "Low-Income Status." Low-Income status means that you will not be charged the difference between BCA's tuition and the value of the scholarship, which is currently $6,135. Low-Income status means your adjusted gross income is below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Scholarship families with a total gross income at 201% or higher, per the Federal Poverty guidelines, are responsible for paying any tuition difference not covered by the scholarship.
