Before & After School Care (BASC)

Our Extended Care Program is designed to provide a safe and fun atmosphere for students prior to and after regular school hours. School hours are 8:15am to 3:00pm. Before School Care runs from 7:00-8:00am. All students arriving before 8:00am will be checked in upon arrival. After School Care runs from 3:30-6:15pm. Students staying in After School Care are charged from 3:30 p.m. until the time parents enter the building to check them out.

When a parent enters the school to pick up their child, a BASC worker will check them out on the computer and the student will be brought to you. Parents are not permitted to pick students up in the classroom.
​Before and After School Care Charges
​Childcare will be billed at $4.24 per hour (charged in quarter hour increments.) Registration is REQUIRED for aftercare. Please email Mrs. Gentry (jgentry@bcakids.org) what days your child will utilize BASC. If your child is going to stay in aftercare unexpectedly, you must let Mrs. Gentry know via email by 2:00. Children who go to aftercare without notifying the office by 2:00pm will be charged an additional $5 fee. The latest a child may stay in aftercare is 6:15. If a parent should pick his/her children up after 6:15pm, there will be an additional charge of $1.00 FOR EACH MINUTE AFTER 6:15.

Before and After School Care (BASC) charges will be billed monthly and are due by the 10th of the following month. BASC payments are made directly to the school by cash, check, or online through the FACTS Family Portal. BASC Balances will be sent out on the 1st of each month (or the closest business day). If charges are not paid by the 10th, a $15 late fee will be added on the 11th. If payments are not made for 2 months, students will not be permitted to remain in BASC. Students must be registered in BASC by 2:00PM. There will be a $5 fee added if the request to stay comes in after 2:00. There are occasions when we cannot take additional add on students, if a child is added after 2:00 on a day that we are full, the fee will be $25.

There is a 15% discount for families with multiple students. The billing cycle ends on the last school day of each month. Bills will be sent out via email on the 1st school day of the following month and due by the 10th of the month. Payments should be made in the BCA bookkeeper's office or through your FACTS Family Portal online. All unpaid fees will be handled as delinquent tuition and subject to a $15.00 late fee.
